I have a potential roommate who was advised by a Columbia student living on Morningside Drive never to go into the park alone at night. I've personally never had any trouble, but I was wondering if anyone else has had a different experience. Please chime in. I don't want to tell her it's safe if it isn't!
Thanks.
Kathleen
I have personally had two incidents at night in Morningside Park that made me at least think to be more cautious. I don't think any single female should be strolling through any park (too easy to get raped or attacked without any witnesses around) at night or ever think anywhere is "safe" though, no matter the location. I'm not saying you should walk around being afraid, but I do think that being alert and always knowing what's going on around you, especially at night, is a good idea. Just my two cents.... :o)
How to protect yourself, your child, or pet from a possible shocking or
electrocution - www.StreetZaps.com.
Greetings! Unfortunately, most walkers discover a danger,
only sadly, when victimized and so I wanted to inform you of www.StreetZaps.com, a timely and useful tool intended to
reduce the year-round risk of injury and fatality from contact
voltage. And so you are aware, I confer with Con Edison's
Stray Voltage and Public Affairs Units and was the first non-
electrical representative to be invited to the Jodie Lane Fourth
National Conference last year. It is my firm wish that
Harlem Fur visitors will disseminate this vital public service as
quickly and as widely as possible to preclude more tragedies.
Further, the predictable seasonal incidents surge is imminent.
Thank you in advance and I look forward to hearing from you.
