Traveling with pets
I just took a trip and brought my cat along. We made the same trek a year ago and flew on Jet Blue. She could sit in the cabin with me and the cost was $50. This year JB raised the price to $100. The pet is also considered a personal item so you can only bring one other carry-on. To add insult to injury you now have to pay $20 to check 2 checked bags.
I also don't like the fact that you have to take the pet out of the carrier to carry them through the security gate. They obviously don't realize how much of a fight it is to get a cat in to a carrier in the first place. The first time we traveled they let me wrap her up in a cloth/blanket. This time they wouldn't let me wrap her up and it seemed more traumatic for her to not have something around her to hide under.
